The Tower Project :   Started in 2004, the Friends of Bramcote Old Church Tower began the task of restoration of the 13th century, grade II listed church tower and the respectful regeneration of the closed and deconsecrated graveyard.

In 2010 Bramcote Old Church Tower Trust was formed and in 2015 an application for Heritage Lottery Funding was made.  In 2017 it was granted. The site is the focal point within the centre of the village of Bramcote and is of historical importance locally.

An 'artist's impression' of how the HLF funded 'Pod' will look once erected next to the tower.

We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a Green Flag Community Award for 2017.
As commented by the Green Flag assessors :-
Bramcote Old Church Tower is a lovely peaceful site with a rich history. The Trust have restored the grounds and are very knowledgeable and keen to share their love of the site.

National Lottery Boost for Bramcote Old Church Tower

Bramcote Old Church Tower is to receive support from National Lottery players through a grant of £363,400 from the Heritage Lottery Funding (HLF) to further restore the building and enhance the site for the enjoyment of the community.

Today we have learnt that our application for Heritage works has been given the ‘Permission To Start’ green light which means we can now instruct the architect to get cracking with arranging for the building contractors to start work.

Our success with getting Heritage Lottery Funding was covered on Notts TV. Click here to see the video.

November

Long Eaton Silver Prize Band

A lovely and entertaining evening with a varied collection of music. Also including a couple of excellent singing performances. Many thanks to the band and all who helped, and of course to the audience.

December

HLF work - The Pod is taking shape and now has a roof. The service trench has been dug all the way to the road and the Tower roof repairs have started.
